We provide all the specialist equipment that you need to come sailing. All you need is sensible footwear (eg training shoes) and outdoor clothing appropriate to the weather conditions. In addition if it is hot and sunny, bring a sun hat and sun cream. If it looks like a rainy day bring waterproofs, although we do have some you can borrow. Some disabled people struggle with temperature control, if you do, dress sensibly.
If you need to be hoisted and use a sling, please bring one with you. We take your safety very seriously, so before your first visit we will talk to you about how we can best meet your needs.
All sailors must wear a buoyancy aid whilst afloat and we also ask that anyone assisting you wears one too, especially near the water. We have a range of buoyancy aids available for you to borrow, although if you become a regular sailor you might like to buy your own.
All children under 10 years old must wear a buoyancy AT ALL TIMES when on site.
